Business Analyst

The Business Analyst functions as a key member of the Analytics team and plays an important role in the Sales and Member Success process.  While there is a tremendous focus on the food category, analysis will be required in other categories such as medical, service supplies and equipment. This role is a critical interface to multiple disciplines within the organization such as Business Development, Operations, Member Success, as well as various Incite business partners. The focus of this role is to utilize Incite tools and resources to identify and substantiate areas of opportunity to support Business Development drive new business and support Member Success activities around Order Guide development and driving member compliance through data and analytics. The Business Analyst will collaborate with members of the Operations team to continually enhance, design, and document the analytics process.   

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of food distribution and analytics experience related to the food category. The candidate should be an analytical thinker and have a keen attention to detail and be comfortable pivoting between tasks, as urgent needs arise. They should be motivated by process improvement and confident contributing to enhance those processes. Prior Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) analytics experience is a plus. 

Skillset & Competencies

  • Advanced MS Excel skills required, experience with SQL and Power BI a plus
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience with analytics in Broadline Foodservice Distribution or Operations, Food Manufacturing, Order Guide Development and Management and/or Product Category Management is required
  • Understanding of manufacturer costs, margin, markup, deviated pricing and other food distributor specific pricing programs
  • Strong financial, analytical, and organizational skills. Proven written and oral communication skills along with experience presenting reports to customers or other external interests
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output; flexible and adaptable
  • High attention to detail, ability to prioritize and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Senior living background is preferred
  • Ability to travel, if required
